Mr Knox, also known as Jayo, is an urban mixmaster with deep roots in the UK underground scene. His journey began in 1995 as an emcee on Underground 107 FM alongside DJ Splash of Full Cycle, bringing high‑energy Drum & Bass flavour to the airwaves.
Expanding his craft, he moved into House & Garage, performing with DJ Curl and MC Shauny D as part of a tight‑knit Wolverhampton collective. Throughout the late ’90s and early 2000s, the trio made guest appearances across the city, building a strong reputation for dynamic live sets.
Branching out as a solo DJ, Mr Knox developed a signature style defined by versatility and vibe. His selections span urban old and new skool, Dancehall, R&B, touches of reggae, and the occasional throwback House & Garage session. Whether he’s hyping up a crowd or cooling down the atmosphere, his sets always reflect one thing — a genuine love for music.
